Synopsis:

We were approached by a consumer goods manufacturer who wanted a user configurable laboratory test rig that would enable them to control heating element temperatures and dilution of air flow in various configurations.

After meeting with the client to assess their needs we subsequently reached agreement on a written project brief and budget spend. Following this we conducted some experimental research into various design solution options and submitted a design proposal to the client.

After agreeing the design proposal with the client we proceeded to develop a detailed design for the mechanical, electrical and software aspects of the test rig. When the design was complete and approved by the client we procured all the items necessary and assembled the rig inhouse. We subsequently undertook the electrical wiring and software programming of the system.

Upon completion of the build we conducted trials to ensure that the functionality the client had requested was reliably provided. To ensure that the equipment met the conditions required for CE compliance we took the equipment to Queens University Belfast for independent examination and testing prior to shipping. Onsite installation and training was provided at the client's site located in London.
